|  |  |  | NEB has assembled a management team with diverse background and experience to facilitate the successful construction, commissioning and operation of its facility that is presently under construction in Volney, NY.
Brian Roach – General Manager Brian joined NEB following 25 years in the commercial nuclear power industry. Throughout his career, Brian has been engaged in key positions in process improvement, maintenance and outage planning and coordination. Brian has had extensive experience in and was instrumental in development of process improvement, benchmarking and corrective action programs in support of deregulation within the U.S. electric power industry. Brian has a proven track record for goal development and team building to achieve top performance having directed over 1 million man hours of work across the Northeastern U.S. Working with facilities across the U.S. as well as in Sweden and Japan, Brian developed technical and organizational process improvements in operations and plant maintenance. Brian has had success in strategic planning and corporate budget development to achieve top performance. With focus in corrective action and human performance, Brian has realized much success throughout his career in leadership and staff development. Brian received a bachelors degree from the State University of New York at Albany and is a native of Central New York.
Michael Hadley – Chief Financial Officer Mike joined NEB in June 2006 and manages its accounting and administration functions. Prior to joining NEB, Mike was employed by Riverview Business Park, LLC and actively participated in the development of the NEB facility, which is located on a portion of what had been Riverview Business Park. Mike’s extensive business experience includes real estate management and development, manufacturing and mining. He began his career with Price Waterhouse. Mike has a B.S. in Accounting from Ithaca College and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York.
Greg Goodridge – Production Director Greg Goodridge joins Northeast Biofuels with over 30 years experience in the chemical industry. His experience ranges from facilities design to managing a specialty chemicals manufacturing plant. Greg was part of the ethanol-from-corn design team at Thermal Kinetics, and he has also served as the lead engineer in designing distillation systems for several new plant start-ups. Most recently, Greg was the Lead Process Engineer in the design of the distillation system for NEB. He received his degree in Chemical Engineering from Tri-State University.
Peter Spalding – Maintenance Manager Peter brings with him over 30 years manufacturing experience including foundry, aluminum rolling, paper converting and heavy machining. His people skills have consistently allowed him to build a dedicated staff, and superb working relationships with internal and external suppliers and customers. Having begun his career in frontline positions, he has also held senior managerial positions in project management, production, engineering, and maintenance. He most recently implemented a Computerized Maintenance Management System in an established manufacturing facility, and laid the groundwork for a Total Productive Maintenance environment. With Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experiences at several manufacturing sites he brings with him a broad understanding of what makes a successful enterprise. Peter earned his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University.
Dale Earls – Operations Manager Dale has over 7 years management experience in the brewing industry. His primary focus is mash chemistry, fermentation and Process Support. He was a process and technical support manager on two different modernization projects, prior to joining the NEB team in May 2006. He has a BS in Biology from The State University of New York at Oswego.
Erin Brown – Process Manager Erin joined NEB in May of 2007. She has experience with yeast fermentation, specifically ethanol tolerance of yeast, and she has also worked with anaerobic wastewater treatment systems. Erin has a B.S. in Environmental Science from Lehigh University and a M.S. in Biological Engineering from Cornell University.
Patrick D. Salvador, P.E. - Risk Manager Pat joins Northeast Biofuels with over 20 years experience in planning, managing and implementing environment, health & safety management systems, civil engineering projects, and property management programs. Throughout his career, Pat has held leadership positions and has been responsible for developing high performing teams and implementing a wide range of technical programs required to protect employees, the environment and the public. He has successfully implemented management systems that strive for a zero incident culture and comply with the elements of the OSHA Voluntary Protection Program and ISO 14001 standards. His experience includes: facility operations, construction administration, training, compliance auditing, pollution prevention, and working with regulatory agencies and insurance representatives to ensure safe, efficient and compliant operations. Pat has been responsible for integrating technical, financial, and regulatory aspects of environment, health & safety and facilities programs into business operations and the continual improvement of processes and systems. Pat received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Union College and a Master of Science Degree in Engineering Management from Syracuse University. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in New York and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, and American Society of Safety Engineers. Pat has received Six Sigma Greenbelt training and has participated in, and implemented, several lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.
Terri Haskins - Lab Manager Terri joined NEB in June of 2007. She brings with her extensive experience in physical and analytical chemistry, including NIR spectroscopy and High Performance Liquid Chromatography. Prior to joining NEB, Terri worked as Project Supervisor for Science Applications International Corporation in a government regulated lab dedicated to explosives research and de-militarization for the U.S. Army. Terri earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology, a M.S. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Rochester and is currently writing her thesis for her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Rochester.
